Our Newest Release - Hush 16, A Piece of Quiet

A Piece of Quiet

Hush 16: A Piece of Quiet, is a unique collaboration between three of Australia’s most loved musicians. Inspired by stories of young cancer patients and other children, ARIA Award-winners singer-songwriter Lior and vocal quartet The Idea of North, along with renowned composer Elena Kats-Chernin, consulted Australian children for lyrical guidance. Questions posed about their lives spawned responses filled with humour, wonder, excitement and surprising wisdom.

From these conversations grew a collection of music that conveys the children’s feelings, hopes and dreams in a way that resonates equally with adult listeners.

With performances from all three artists along with some of Australia's finest classical and jazz musicians, this joyous album will affect you deeply and positively.

Our Plays

Our plays 'Hear Me' and 'Do You Know Me?' have played to over 8,000 people across the world, mainly in healthcare settings.

Written and developed with renowned Australian playwright, Alan Hopgood, the plays are a powerful data collection tool and method for addressing the topics of bullying, aged care, patient and family centred care, patient safety and the need for better communication in our healthcare system.

Hush in Hong Kong

As the proud recipients of a Catalyst Grant, Hush, in conjunction with Alan Hopgood and Bayside Productions, performed renditions of both healthcare plays ‘Hear Me’ and ‘Do You Know Me’ at the 16th Annual World Congress of Anaesthesiologists.

The Congress also experienced a performance by renowned pianist Joe Chindamo, co-creator of "Hush 11 - Luminous - Inspired by Mozart"
